a few personal musings
in the coming weeks i’ll (i wrote this months ago, don’t hold your breath) be adding in the countless blog posts from my old blog, ‘duly noted’ back from my 20s. when i knew everything as was so deep. we had guest writers, the whole shit was fun. and i just found it all recently. so, that. those will be back-dated, but as for now, this is just the place to write on things that are in my head or on my heart, that don’t need to be on anybody else’s platform.
this is issa rae’s fault. sorta.
but, i had a dilemma: i had to rethink my name.
and it was a huge blessing.
having to (re?)name my company and my work made me have to rethink what i really wanted to put out into the world. as a creator, i have a respect for the fact that my work helps shape narratives, ask questions and use information to (hopefully, if we’re doing it right,) speak to some hearts and change a few others.
