Jarrett uses his platform to question stories of the day to bring out his guests’ unabashed opinions and provide takes that are thoughtful, but unfiltered.

Jarrett regularly guests on MSNBC and CNN International, and contributes to The New York Times, Variety, NBC News, and Channel Q, among others.

Based in Los Angeles, Jarrett is an award-winning journalist, sought-after host, moderator, and interviewer. He currently co-hosts FANTI, the new podcast from Maximum Fun with Tre'vell Anderson. Unabashedly self-referential and well-researched, they cover pressing political stories with a flippant, intersectional eye. He also recently covered the 2020 Presidential Election for Channel Q, where he co-hosted a daily show, Drop the Subject.

While studying media at Clark Atlanta University, he produced radio, television, and broadcast news. Here, he observed the lack of diversity in journalism and entertainment as an opportunity to elevate underrepresented voices, from filmmakers to tastemakers. Prioritizing inclusion in journalism, Jarrett serves as the Vice President of the National Association of Black Journalists’ Los Angeles Chapter (NABJLA).

Jarrett was named to the Ebony Power 100 in 2016. He is known, most notably, for breaking the 2016 Melania Trump/Michelle Obama RNC plagiarism story.

He is fond of cooking, carbohydrates, interior design, and watching more TV than he publicly admits.
